Matt Light
12/22/2005
Light is not expected to be fully recovered by the end of the season, so the New England Patriots have decided to place him on injured reserve. The offensive lineman has been sidelined since breaking his right leg in the team's third game of the 2005 campaign. Prior to the injury, he has started 66 consecutive games, including the playoffs.

Reportedly, tests have revealed that Light has a broken bone in his right leg, just below the knee, an injury suffered in Sunday's matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Patriots' starting left tackle will be sidelined indefinitely, but the team is optimistic that he will be able to return late in the season.
