Robert Ferguson
12/30/2005
Barring a miraculous recovery over the next couple of days, Ferguson will be absent from the Packers' lineup for Sunday's season finale against the Seattle Seahawks. The receiver has been unable to practice with the team this week after aggravating the strained ligament in his left knee. The injury has forced him to miss four games this season, including last weekend's action.

Despite aggravating his ailing left knee during practice on Friday, Ferguson was in the Packers' starting lineup for Monday night's matchup with the Minnesota Vikings. The receiver, who missed nearly a month with a torn lateral cruciate ligament, saw regular action, but finished with just one catch for five yards.

Ferguson aggravated his injured knee during practice on Friday. But Mike Sherman says that this new problem isn't as severe as originally thought, and hasn't ruled the receiver out for Monday night's clash against the Minnesota Vikings.

Ferguson went through a full practice with the Green Bay Packers on Thursday and declared himself ready to return to action. The receiver, who has been sidelined since tearing the lateral cruciate ligament in his left knee on October 23, remains listed as questionable on the injury report, but all signs point to him playing in Monday night's matchup with the Minnesota Vikings.

Sidelined since tearing the lateral cruciate ligament in his left knee on October 23, Ferguson was able to take part in portions of the Packers' practice on Wednesday, and he should be able to expand his workouts over the next couple of days, according to head coach Mike Sherman. The receiver currently is listed as questionable for Monday night's meeting with the Minnesota Vikings, and there's a chance he could be a game-time decision.

Ferguson has been unable to return to practice with the Packers as he had hoped, and on Thursday, he admitted that his ailing left knee needs more time to recover. The receiver, who has been sidelined since tearing the lateral cruciate ligament in the knee on October 23, continues to be listed as questionable on this week's injury report, but he is not expected to be ready for Sunday's battle with the Atlanta Falcons.

Ferguson has reported significant improvement in his ailing left knee, and he hopes to return to practice with the Green Bay Packers on Wednesday. The receiver, who has been sidelined since tearing the lateral cruciate ligament in the knee on October 23, should be available for Sunday's meeting with the Atlanta Falcons if he's able to work out at full speed over the next few days.
11/7/2005
Last week, Ferguson was confident that he'd be ready for the Packers' matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, but the receiver has yet to resume running, and the team does not have a definitive timetable for his return. He was expected to be sidelined for up to four weeks after tearing the lateral cruciate ligament in his left knee against the Minnesota Vikings on October 23.
11/2/2005
Originally expected to be sidelined up to four weeks with a torn lateral cruciate ligament in his left knee, Ferguson claimed earlier this week that he plans to be back in the Packers' starting lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, head coach Mike Sherman and the club's medical staff don't appear as optimistic as the receiver, who suffered the injury only 10 days ago.

Along with a sprained ankle, Ferguson has been diagnosed with a tear of the lateral cruciate ligament in his left knee after undergoing more tests on Monday. According to Packers head coach Mike Sherman, the receiver, who went down in the first quarter of Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Vikings, could miss up to a month as he recovers from the injuries. In six games this season, Ferguson has 17 catches for 279 yards and three touchdowns.
9/12/2005
Ferguson will move into the starting lineup for the Packers after Javon Walker suffered a season-ending knee injury on Sunday. The fifth-year player from Texas A&M only caught one pass for four yards against the Lions, but should see his opportunities increase with the move up to No. 2 on the depth chart.

The Packers held Ferguson out of team workouts earlier this week to allow him to undergo precautionary tests for a heart murmur. No problems were found, and the receiver has been cleared to play in Friday's exhibition meeting with the New England Patriots.
