Kendrell Bell

8/30/2005

According to head coach Dick Vermeil, Bell will make his Chiefs debut in Friday's preseason finale against the St. Louis Rams. The team has been very cautious with the linebacker, who was limited to just three games by a groin injury last season and has been nursing a shoulder problem in training camp this year. He will be in the starting lineup to begin the regular season.

Bell continues to be limited to non-contract drills in training camp, as the Chiefs are being very cautious with the linebacker, considering he was limited to just three games last season by a nagging groin injury. According to head coach Dick Vermeil, Bell will not play in Saturday's exhibition matchup with the Arizona Cardinals, but he should see some time next weekend versus the Seattle Seahawks.

Bell has been working out with the Chiefs without any problems, but because he was limited to just three games last season by a nagging groin injury, the team has decided to hold him out of Friday's preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings. The move is considered precautionary, and the linebacker is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season.
