Reggie Wayne
2/22/2006
Wayne reportedly agreed to a six-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts, worth nearly $40 million with $13.5 million in bonuses.

Wayne hauled in five passes for 117 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 45-37 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The Colts' receiver, who's topped the 100-yard mark just twice this season, has five or more catches in each of his last six games.

After sitting out Friday with a foot injury, Wayne returned to practice Saturday and has been cleared to play Sunday when the Colts take on the Houston Texans.

Coming off his best game of the 2005 campaign, Wayne did not practice with the Indianapolis Colts on Friday, due to a sore foot. However, the injury is considered minor, and the move was purely precautionary, according to head coach Tony Dungy. The receiver is expected to be in the starting lineup for Sunday's tussle with the Houston Texans.

Wayne topped the century mark for the first time in 2005, hauling in nine passes for a season-high 124 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's victory over the New England Patriots. On the season, the Colts' receiver has 46 receptions for 561 yards and three TDs.

Wayne temporarily left practice on Thursday after dislocating a finger on his right hand during a seven-on-seven drill. The Colts' receiver was able to return to the field after receiving some treatment on the sidelines, and barring any setbacks, he will be in the starting lineup when the team takes the field against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
