Adam Archuleta

3/13/2006

The Redskins are making another splash this season, signing Archuleta to the largest NFL contract ever for a safety. It's worth $30 million over six years with $10 million guaranteed.

After missing the Rams' last two games with a concussion, Archuleta returned to practice with the team on Wednesday and reported no problems. The veteran safety was not listed on the injury report, and he plans to be in the starting lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Minnesota Vikings.

Archuleta suffered a concussion when he collided with teammate DeJuan Groce early in Sunday's matchup with the Arizona Cardinals. The veteran safety tried to play through the ailment, but was forced to leave for good late in the first quarter. He was replaced in the Rams' lineup by rookie Jerome Carter.
