Tomlinson was able to take part in the full workout on Thursday and will be in the starting lineup when the chargers take on the Kansas City Chiefs on saturday. The running back aggravated his bruised ribs during last Sunday's win over the Indianapolis Colts.
12/20/2005
Tomlinson probably could have missed some time this week after aggravating his bruised ribs in Sunday's win over the Indianapolis Colts, but he was able to work out with the San Diego Chargers on Tuesday. The running back fully expects to be in the starting lineup for Saturday's showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs.
12/19/2005
Tomlinson reinjured his ribs in a 26-17 win over the Colts Sunday. The Chargers' running back rushed for 76 yards on 24 carries but sat late in the game with bruised ribs. San Diego coach Marty Schottenheimer said the injury was not serious.
12/18/2005
Tomlinson was listed as questionable on this week's injury report with bruised ribs, but will start for the Chargers at Indianapolis. The star running back has rushed for 191 yards and six touchdowns in his last two road games.
12/14/2005
Despite missing some practice time last week with bruised ribs, Tomlinson saw his normal work in Sunday's loss to the Miami Dolphins. The running back finished the game with 75 yards on 21 carries, but did not find the end zone for the fourth time this season, including the last two games.
12/9/2005
Tomlinson was able to practice on Friday for the first time all week and is expected to play when the Chargers take on the Miami Dolphins. Tomlinson suffered bruised ribs during last Sunday's victory over the Raiders, but the running back does not expect the injury to hamper him against the Dolphins.
12/8/2005
As a precautionary measure, the San Diego Chargers decided to hold Tomlinson out of Wednesday's practice to allow him to recover from the rib injury he suffered in last weekend's win over the Oakland Raiders. Diagnosed as a small bruise, the ailment is considered minor, and the running back has vowed to be in the backfield for Sunday's meeting with Miami.
12/5/2005
Tomlinson temporarily was forced to leave Sunday's win over Oakland Raiders after bruising his right side, but the pain in his ribs was not enough to prevent him from returning to the Chargers' lineup. The running back started the second half and finished the game with 86 yards on 25 carries, along with five catches for 24 yards. He failed to score for just the third time this season.
11/28/2005
Tomlinson tied a season-high with three rushing touchdowns in Sunday's overtime victory over the Washington Redskins. The Chargers' running back, who finished with 184 yards on 25 carries, posted a 32-yard run to tie the game late in the fourth quarter before adding a 41-yard game-winning score in the extra session. He also added six catches for 29 yards.
11/7/2005
Tomlinson topped the century mark for the fourth time this season and scored a career-high four touchdowns, leading the Chargers to a 31-26 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday. On the day, the running back rushed for 107 yards and three scores on 25 carries, while adding three catches for 46 yards and a TD.
10/24/2005
Tomlinson was unable to get on track in Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, as he was limited to a career-low seven yards on 17 carries. The Chargers' running back, who hauled in four passes for 26 yards in the contest, saw his streak of consecutive games with a touchdown come to an end at 18.
10/17/2005
Tomlinson did it all on Sunday as he caught, threw and rushed for a touchdown in the Chargers' victory over the Raiders. All three scores came in the first half and made him the first player to accomplish the feat since David Patten did it in 2001 for the Patriots. Also, Tomlinson's first score gave him a touchdown for the 18th consecutive game, which ties Lenny Moore's NFL record.
10/11/2005
Despite extending his NFL-best streak of games with a rushing touchdown to 17, Tomlinson was held in check for the most part in Monday night's 24-22 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, averaging just 3.4 yards per carry. The running back, who was coming off back-to-back 100-yard outings, finished with 62 yards on 18 carries. Tomlinson actually had better success in the Chargers' aerial attack, hauling in a season-high seven passes for 68 yards.
10/3/2005
After getting off to a slightly slow start this season, Tomlinson has been rolling along the past couple of weeks. The Chargers' running back, who topped 200 total yards and scored three times against the Giants in Week 3, rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries in Sunday's victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday. He also added three catches for 34 yards.

Tomlinson now has rushed for a touchdown in 14 consecutive games, breaking the all-time NFL record, formerly held by John Riggins and George Rogers. The Chargers' running back found the end zone twice in Sunday's loss to the Denver Broncos, finishing with 52 yards on 19 carries.

8/25/2005
Tomlinson will be held out of Friday's exhibition game against the Minnesota Vikings as a precautionary measure. The Chargers' running back appeared in the team's last preseason contest, posting a 55-yard touchdown run on his only carry. He also hauled in two passes in limited playing time.
8/12/2005
As has been the case in past years, Tomlinson won't see much game action in the preseason for the San Diego Chargers in hopes of avoiding injury and being ready for the start of the regular season. The running back did not play in Thursday's exhibition meeting with the Green Bay Packers, giving way to Michael Turner and Darren Sproles.
