Clark Haggans

10/26/2005

Haggans has recovered from surgery to repair a tear in his groin, and barring any last minute setbacks, he will be available for Monday night's matchup with the Baltimore Ravens, according to Steelers head coach Bill Cowher. The linebacker, who has been sidelined since Week 3, will be listed as probable on this week's injury report.

Haggans had his ailing groin evaluated by a specialist in Philadelphia, and it was determined that surgery was necessary to correct the problem. As a result, the Steelers' linebacker went under the knife on Wednesday, and according to head coach Bill Cowher, he will need at least five weeks to recover from the procedure. The team will look to James Harrison to fill the void in the lineup until Haggans is able to return.
