J.R. Redmond

8/30/2005

Tests have revealed that Redmond's dislocated left shoulder is a more serious injury that initially thought, and the running back will miss the entire 2005 campaign. Redmond, who was hurt in Friday's exhibition game against the Oakland Raiders, has been placed on injured reserve by the Arizona Cardinals.

A dislocated left shoulder forced Cardinals' return man J.R. Redmond to leave Friday night's game against the Raiders in the first quarter. After fumbling the punt, Redmond recovered the ball, but was hit hard on the play. Redmond, who is in line to make a contribution only as a return man, undoubtedly would have loved to have a better showing against his former Raider teammates.
