Rob Morris

4/13/2006

Morris was re-signed by the Colts on Thursday. For the second straight season, the veteran linebacker was re-signed by Indianapolis after becoming an unrestricted free agent. Morris, the Colts' 28th pick in the 2000 draft, has started 60 games for Indianapolis, but spent last season backing up Gary Brackett.

The Colts re-signed Morris to a one-year, $540,000 deal on Tuesday. Morris has been the starting middle linebacker for Indianapolis for the past four seasons, though he will enter training camp this year at No. 2 on the depth chart behind Gary Brackett. Morris was an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but he failed to garner much interest from other teams. In his career, he has 279 tackles, 105 assists and seven sacks in 68 games (60 starts).
