Donald Driver

11/22/2005

Driver was Brett Favre's favorite target in Monday night's last-second loss to the Minnesota Vikings, hauling in five passes for 84 yards and two touchdowns. The Packers' veteran receiver, who is coming off a 10-catch outing, found the end zone for the first time since Week 7 -- the last time Green Bay faced the Vikings.

Driver notched his third 100-yard game of the 2005 campaign, hauling in a season-high 10 passes for 114 yards in Sunday's 33-25 win over the Atlanta Falcons. With Javon Walker out for the season and Robert Ferguson slow to recover from injury, Driver will continue to serve as Brett Favre's top target in the Packers' passing attack.

The Packers kept Driver busy in Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Vikings, as the receiver hauled in a season-high eight passes for 114 yards and a touchdown. In six games this season, he has 31 catches for 456 yards and three TDs.

The ankle injury Driver suffered last weekend prevented him from practicing with the Packers on Wednesday. However, the ailment is considered minor, and the receiver is slated to return to the field on Thursday. Officially, he has been listed as probable for Monday night's meeting with the Carolina Panthers.

With top wideout Javon Walker out for the year with a knee injury, the Packers have turned to Driver to step up and help fill the void. The receiver answered the call in Sunday's meeting with the Cleveland Browns, hauling in six passes for 105 yards and a touchdown. However, his performance wasn't quite enough, as Green Bay lost the game, 26-24.
