Brandon Stokley

8/19/2006

The Indianapolis Star reported that Stokley's left ankle injury is a high ankle sprain. The wide receiver is hoping to be ready to play for the Colts in their season opener against the New York Giants on Sept. 10.

1/12/2006

Stokely, who has been resting and receiving treatment on his bruised left knee the past couple of weeks, was back at practice with the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday and had no major problems. The receiver plans to be available for Sunday's playoff battle with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

With Marvin Harrison held out with a broken finger, Stokley saw extensive action in Saturday's loss to the Seattle Seahawks. However, the Colts' receiver was forced to leave after bruising his left knee late in the contest. At this point, he is considered as questionable for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Arizona Cardinals. Expect him to be a game-time decision.

Stokley was limited at practice on Thursday by a strained groin, but he took part in a full workout with the Colts on Friday and will be ready for Sunday's matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals, according to head coach Tony Dungy. The receiver does not appear on the team's injury report.

9/12/2005

Stokley was used often in Sunday's victory over the Ravens after returning from a dislocated shoulder suffered early last month. He led the Colts with seven receptions for 83 yards as the team's No. 3 receiver.

9/8/2005

Stokley continues to expand his workouts with the Indianapolis Colts, and barring any setbacks, he will be dressed and available for Sunday's 2005 season opener against the Baltimore Ravens. The receiver has been sidelined since dislocating his left shoulder in the team's first exhibition contest last month, but is listed as probable on this week's injury report.

9/6/2005

Stokley returned to practice with the Indianapolis Colts on Monday, and if he is able to expand his workouts over the next several days, he should see some action in Sunday's regular-season opener against the Baltimore Ravens. The receiver has been sidelined since dislocating his left shoulder in the team's first preseason contest.

8/26/2005

Stokley now is optimistic that he will be ready for the Colts' Week 1 battle with the Baltimore Ravens. Although there is still some minor soreness in his dislocated left shoulder, the receiver has reported no major problems. Stokley has expanded his limited individual workouts over the past several days, and he hopes to practice with the team as early as next week.

8/17/2005

Stokley no longer is sporting a sling on his dislocated left shoulder, and the Colts are cautiously optimistic that he will be ready when they kick off the regular season against the Baltimore Ravens on September 11. However, the receiver still has a long ways to go, and the team is not going to push him too quickly. He will continue to rehab and strengthen the shoulder on a daily basis.

8/4/2005

Stokley dislocated his left shoulder during practice today as the Colts tuned up for the American Bowl in Japan. He could be out of action for up to four weeks. His availability for the start of the regular season is highly in question.
