Edwards has signed with the Atlanta Falcons. The six-year veteran safety, who was released by the New England Patriots during training camp, split the 2004 campaign between the Miami Dolphins and St. Louis Rams, finishing the season with 65 tackles, one sack and a forced fumble in 14 games, including a career-high 13 starts. Cam Newton was cut to open a roster spot.
