L.J. Shelton

6/4/2005

Shelton and the Cleveland Browns agreed to terms on a one-year deal Friday. Terms of the contract were not released. Shelton was released by the Arizona Cardinals in mid-May after spending his first six seasons with the club. Shelton was the 21st pick in the 1st round of the 1999 NFL Draft, and has started 77 of 82 games in his career. However, he sat out the last few weeks of the 2004 season after suffering a left knee injury.

Shelton has been released by the Arizona Cardinals, making him a free agent. The veteran offensive lineman, who reportedly had been on the trading block the past several months, appeared in 12 games last season, including nine starts, but missed the last few weeks of the campaign with a left knee injury.
