Anthony McFarland

12/13/2005

McFarland has been unable to practice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week after straining his hamstring in last weekend's win over the Carolina Panthers. Currently, the defensive tackle is listed as doubtful for Saturday's matchup with the New England Patriots, and if no dramatic improvement is shown in the next couple of days, he won't be available for duty.

McFarland practiced at full speed on Wednesday for the first time since tearing the triceps muscle in his right arm last November. The Tampa Bay defensive tackle had surgery to repair the injury, and finally has been given clearance to participate fully in football-related activities. McFarland was limited to just eight games last season, accounting for 10 tackles, two assists and three sacks.
