Chase has been released by the Jacksonville Jaguars, opening a spot on the roster for linebacker Jamie Winborn, who was acquired from the San Francisco 49ers on Friday. The defensive tackle missed the entire 2004 campaign with a knee injury and has yet to appear in a game this season.

Chase has re-signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, filling the roster spot of safety Donovin Darius, who was placed on injured reserve with a torn ligament in his knee. The defensive tackle was with the Jags in training camp, but was released just prior to the start of the regular season.
