Shawn Barber
3/8/2006
Barber signed a one-year contract to return to the Eagles after playing three seasons with the Chiefs.
3/2/2006
Barber was released by the Chiefs in an effort for the team to get under the salary cap for the upcoming season. He was joined by linebacker Gary Stills and corner backs Dexter McCleon and Eric Warfield as the four players released by the Chiefs.
11/25/2005
Barber was activated from the physically-unable-to-perform (PUP) list Friday and is expected to play for the Chiefs at least through the regular season stretch drive. The linebacker, 30, has started 24 games for Kansas City since signing as a free agent in 2003. He's also played for the Redskins (his first four seasons) and Eagles (2002).
8/31/2005
Barber hopes to play later this season, but he will miss at least the first six weeks of the campaign after being placed on the physically unable to perform list by the Kansas City Chiefs. The linebacker continues to recover from the knee injury that landed him on injured reserve in 2004.
