The sprained knee Holcombe suffered in an exhibition game against the Minnesota Vikings earlier this month has landed the running back on injured reserve for Kansas City. Holcombe, who signed a one-year contract with the Chiefs in April after being released by the Tennessee Titans in a salary cap move, will miss the entire 2005 season.

Holcombe has been diagnosed with a sprained left knee, an injury suffered in Friday's exhibition game against the Minnesota Vikings. The running back, who signed a one-year contract with the Chiefs in April after being released by the Tennessee Titans in a salary cap move, is expected to be sidelined for the next 3-6 weeks.
