Ahman Green

8/7/2006

Green participated in individual drills for the first time during training camp, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette. The Packers running back is trying to recover from a torn quadriceps injury that kept him out for most of last season.

3/6/2006

Green signed a one-year contract to return to the Packers, reportedly for at least $3 million.

Green said he's slightly ahead of schedule in his rehabilitation from a ruptured quadriceps tendon, but he reportedly doesn't anticipate being able to run until early May.

Further tests have revealed that Green has a torn right quadriceps tendon, and according to Packers head coach Mike Sherman, the running back will undergo surgery later this week and miss the rest of the 2005 campaign. Green originally aggravated his leg in a game against the Saints earlier this month, but the tendon was torn when he was hit in the fourth quarter of Sunday's meeting with the Minnesota Vikings. He will be placed on injured reserve in the near future.

Although he was listed as questionable on the Packers' injury report, Green will be in the starting lineup for Sunday's meeting with the Minnesota Vikings. The running back, who is recovering from a bruised knee and thigh, has been working out with the team all week and has not experienced any major problems.

10/18/2005

After using the Packers' bye week to rest and receive treatment on his ailing knee/thigh, Green returned to the field on Monday and took part in some drills with the team. According to head coach Mike Sherman, the running back should expand his workouts over the next couple of days and be ready for Sunday's meeting with the Minnesota Vikings, barring any setbacks.

Green's knee and thigh injuries prevented him from playing in Sunday's meeting with the New Orleans Saints, as anticipated. The running back, who was replaced in the Packers' lineup by Najeh Davenport and Tony Fisher, plans to be ready for the team's next game, according to head coach Mike Sherman. The Packers have a bye this week before their Week 7 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings.

10/8/2005

Green, battling knee and quad injuries, has not practiced all week, and will not start on Sunday when the Packers take on the New Orleans Saints.

10/7/2005

Green reportedly has a bruised knee and strained quadriceps tendon in his right leg, injuries that have prevented the running back from practicing with the Packers this week. The veteran remains listed as questionable on the team's injury report and likely will be a game-time decision for Sunday's meeting with the New Orleans Saints.

10/6/2005

The Green Bay Packers have yet to release any specific information about the leg injury Green suffered in the second half of Monday night's loss to the Carolina Panthers. The running back was unable to practice with the team on Wednesday and has been listed as questionable on this week's injury report with a "knee/thigh" ailment. In four games this season, Green has averaged just 3.4 yards per carry and has yet to score a touchdown.

10/4/2005

Green will be re-evaluated on Tuesday to determine the extent of the right knee injury he suffered in the second half of Monday night's loss to the Carolina Panthers. The Packers' running back initially was diagnosed with a bruise and was on the sidelines with his knee wrapped in ice. The team should updated his status over the next day or two.

Green entered a plea of not guilty on Wednesday to a charge of disorderly conduct stemming from an argument with his wife on April 25. The Green Bay running back was arrested after police were called to Green's home by his wife, Heather, who said that she felt threatened. He posted bond of $150 and was released. Green did not actually appear in court on Wednesday, electing instead to have his attorneys enter the not guilty plea.

Packers running back Ahman Green was charged Tuesday with disorderly conduct after an altercation with his wife two weeks ago. Green was arrested on the evening of April 25, and filed for divorce on April 28.

4/27/2005

Green was arrested late Monday night and was charged with disorderly conduct following a domestic violence incident at his home. The Green Bay Packers' running back posted a $150 bond and was released shortly thereafter. A court hearing has been scheduled for May 11.
