Darren Sharper

10/12/2005

Sharper will return to practice with the Minnesota Vikings this week, and barring any setbacks, he plans to be in the starting lineup for Sunday's meeting with the Chicago Bears. The safety has missed the team's last two games with a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee.

Sharper was downgraded to doubtful for this week's game against the Atlanta Falcons, and it appears likely that he will be sidelined come Sunday.

Still recovering from a sprained left knee, Sharper is inactive for today's game against the New Orleans Saints.

Tests have revealed no major damage in Sharper's sprained left knee, and the Vikings expect the safety to be ready for Sunday's matchup with the New Orleans Saints. He has been listed as probable on this week's injury report.

Sharper likely will miss some practice time this week after suffering a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee during Sunday's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. However, according to Vikings head coach Mike Tice, the injury appears minor, and the team has yet to rule him out of next weekend's meeting with the New Orleans Saints.
