Dillon will be limited in practice this week to avoid aggravating his troublesome calf. However, the running back, who has been nursing the ailment for nearly two months, is expected to be in the Patriots' starting lineup for Saturday's playoff matchup with the Denver Broncos. Officially, he has been listed as probable.

Dillon dressed for the Patriots' practice on Tuesday, but he did not take part in all drills, primarily as a precautionary measure. The running back, who has been battling a calf injury for nearly two months, missed four of the team's last eight games of the regular season. However, he has been listed as probable for Saturday's playoff matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Boston Globe is reporting that Dillon is inactive for New England's season finale against Miami. Dillon gets a day off Sunday in anticipation of the Patriots' first-round playoff game next week. He has rushed for 733 yards on 209 carries this season. He missed three weeks of the season with a calf injury.

Dillon found the end zone for the fourth consecutive week, rushing for two touchdowns and 77 yards on 26 carries in Monday night's victory over the New York Jets. Since returning from the calf injury that forced him to miss nearly three full games, the Patriots' running back has scored five TDs in his last four contests.

Dillon didn't appear limited by the sore calf that forced him to miss all but one play in three games last month, rushing for 102 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries in Sunday's win over the Buffalo Bills. The veteran running back has been sidelined since straining a calf muscle on the first play of a Week 10 win over the Miami Dolphins, but has not had any problems over the past several days. In eight games this season, he has 441 yards and seven touchdowns on 126 carries, as well as 10 catches for 118 yards.

After getting off to a slow start in Thursday's season opener against the Oakland Raiders, Dillon turned it up a notch in the second half. The Patriots' running back finished with just 63 yards on 23 carries -- a 2.7-yard average -- but was able to find the end zone twice. He also hauled in two passes for 30 yards.
