Peter Boulware
8/19/2005
Boulware has passed his physical and re-signed with the Baltimore Ravens. Official terms were not released, but the linebacker reportedly will receiver $1 million this season with another $1 million available in incentives. Boulware, a four-time Pro Bowler, was released by the Ravens in early May, in part as a salary-cap casualty, but also because of health concerns -- he missed the 2004 season with knee and toe injuries.

The Ravens released Boulware on Wednesday, primarily due to his hefty contract and increased competition at the linebacker position. Boulware, who missed the entire 2004 campaign with knee and toe injuries, was slated to make a base salary of $6 million in 2005. The team also signed linebackers Tommy Polley and Jim Nelson in the offseason, and selected a pair of LBs in the 2005 draft, including second-rounder Dan Cody out of Oklahoma.
