Nursing a sore knee, Holmes has been placed on injured reserve by the Detroit Lions, officially ending his 2005 campaign. The linebacker notched 75 tackles and two forced fumbles in 11 games on the year. Filling the roster spot will be receiver Glenn Martinez, who was promoted from the practice squad.
