Abraham had been taking part in the Jets' offseason training programs with the intention of play in 2005, but the 31-year-old cornerback has decided to retire instead. He finished 2004 with 53 tackles, two interceptions and two defensive touchdowns in 16 games.

Abraham reportedly had been considering retirement this offseason, but according to Jets head coach Herman Edwards and Abraham's agent Jack Reale, the cornerback will return for the 2005 campaign. The 31-year-old, who will be entering his 10th pro season, finished 2004 with 53 tackles, two interceptions and two defensive touchdowns in 16 games.
