Ray Lewis
8/19/2006
Lewis forced a fumble on his lone tackle on Thursday in a preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles. It was Lewis? first on-field action since he went down with a hamstring injury in Week 6 last season.
8/12/2006
Lewis did not play in the Baltimore Ravens' preseason game against the New York Giants on Friday.
12/7/2005
Lewis will miss the remainder of the 2005 campaign after undergoing surgery on Wednesday to repair the tear in his right hamstring. The Ravens' linebacker, who has been sidelined since suffering the injury more than six weeks ago, finishes the year with 46 tackles, one sack and an interception. Bart Scott will continue to start in his absence.
12/6/2005
According to Baltimore Ravens head coach Brian Billick, Lewis has a partially torn right hamstring, and the injury could force him to miss the rest of the 2005 campaign. The All-Pro linebacker, who has been sidelined since October 23, will seek a second opinion before making a decision on the next course of action. There is no timetable for his return.
12/2/2005
Sidelined for more than a month with a nagging hamstring injury, Lewis has been unable to practice with the Baltimore Ravens this week. As a result, the All-Pro linebacker was downgraded to doubtful on the team's injury report on Friday, and he's not expected to play in Sunday's tussle with the Houston Texans.
11/27/2005
Lewis will miss Baltimore's showdown against Cincinnati Sunday, according to a CBS report. The Ravens' linebacker will sit again with a hamstring injury that dates back to a loss to Chicago on Oct. 23. He has appeared in just one game since then.
11/20/2005
Lewis has been designated as inactive for today's games against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
11/1/2005
Lewis is expected to miss at least two more weeks with the thigh injury he suffered in a game against the Chicago Bears in Week 7, according to Ravens head coach Brian Billick. Bart Scott will continue to fill the void in the lineup until the Pro Bowl linebacker is able to return.
10/26/2005
Due to the hamstring pull he suffered in last Sunday's loss to the Chicago Bears, Lewis already has been ruled out of Monday night's meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to Ravens head coach Brian Billick. The team currently does not have a definitive timetable for the Pro Bowl linebacker's return.
10/24/2005
Lewis did not return to the Baltimore Ravens' lineup after suffering a pulled hamstring in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the Chicago Bears. The linebacker is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday to rule out any serious damage. If Lewis is forced to miss any time, Bart Scott is the likely candidate to fill the void in the middle of the Ravens' defense.
