Marvin Harrison

5/21/2006

Harrison will undergo elbow surgery on Monday. The Colts' wide receiver suffered the injury during the 2005 season and will not be available to participate in the team's five-week voluntary workouts, which begin on Tuesday.

Even though the broken bone in his hand has yet to heal fully, Harrison has been practicing with the Colts this week and will be in the starting lineup for Sunday's playoff matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The veteran receiver suffered the injury three weeks ago, but was able to play in the team's regular-season finale against the Arizona Cardinals, hauling in two passes for 19 yards.

Harrison's broken bone in his right hand didn't keep him out of the lineup for Sunday's finale win over the Arizona Cardinals. The Colts' wide receiver, who had two receptions for 19 yards, should continue to be one of Peyton Manning's favorite targets in the playoffs. Harrison topped the 1,000-yard mark (1,146) and had multiple touchdowns (12) for a seventh straight season in 2005.

In a turn of events, Harrison, who has a broken bone in his right hand, now is expected to return to Indianapolis' starting lineup for Sunday's regular-season finale against Arizona. After missing practice last week and sitting out Wednesday and Thursday this week, the wide receiver appeared to be scratched from Sunday's lineup. But after running through drills on Friday, both Harrison and Colts coach Tony Dungy say they believe Harrison is ready to return.

Recovering from a broken bone in his hand, Harrison will not play in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Arizona Cardinals. The veteran receiver, who was absent from the Colts' lineup last weekend as well, will have nearly a full month to let the hand heal, as the team has a bye in the first round of the playoffs. He will be ready for their first postseason contest.

12/24/2005

Harrison is one of three Colts starters who did not travel with the team to Seattle and will not play in Saturday's game against the Seahawks. The receiver, who broke a bone in his hand during last week's loss to San Diego, has 80 catches for 1127 yards and 12 touchdowns this year.

12/23/2005

The Colts' official website reports Harrison is expected to not play in Saturday's game against Seattle. The veteran receiver broke a bone in his hand in Sunday's loss to the San Diego Chargers. He has 80 catches for 1,127 yards and 12 touchdowns this season.

12/22/2005

Despite a broken bone in his hand, Harrison could return to practice on Thursday or Friday and be available for this weekend's matchup with the Seattle Seahawks. However, since the Colts have wrapped up home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, it is likely that the veteran receiver won't see much, if any, playing time over the last two weeks of the regular season, giving the hand plenty of time to heal. He has 80 catches for 1,127 yards and 12 touchdowns this year.

12/20/2005

Tests have revealed that Harrison has a broken bone in his hand, an injury suffered in Sunday's loss to the San Diego Chargers. Since the Colts have wrapped up home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, it is likely that the veteran receiver will miss the final two games of the regular season, giving him nearly a full month to recover before the team's first postseason contest. Brandon Stokley is expected to replace Harrison in the lineup.

12/12/2005

Harrison topped the century mark for the fourth time in his last six games and scored for the third consecutive contest, helping lead the Colts to a 26-18 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. The veteran receiver hauled in six Peyton Manning passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns.

12/4/2005

Harrison became the 12th player in league history to top 12,000 yards receiving Sunday in Indianapolis' 35-3 victory over Tennessee. The Colts' wide receiver hit the mark with his 36-yard reception during the team's opening drive. Harrison connected in four receptions for 61 yards in the win.

11/29/2005

Harrison topped the century mark for the third time in four games and fourth time overall this season, hauling in four passes for 128 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The veteran receiver did the majority of his damage on the Colts' first offensive play of the game, snagging a Peyton Manning strike and dashing 80 yards for a score.

11/21/2005

In Sunday's victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, Harrison hauled in five passes for 42 yards and failed to find the end zone for the first time in five games, but it was a milestone day, as he reached 900 career catches faster than anyone in NFL history. It took the Colts' receiver to top the plateau in just 149 games, 19 contests quicker than Jerry Rice, who formerly held the mark.

11/14/2005

Harrison topped the century mark for the second consecutive week, hauling in seven passes for 108 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-17 victory over the Houston Texans. The Colts' receiver has found the end zone each of his last four games, tallying five TDs over that span.

11/8/2005

Harrison turned in his best outing of the 2005 campaign, hauling in nine passes for a season-high 128 yards and two touchdowns in Monday night's victory over the New England Patriots. The Colts' veteran receiver has scored four times in his last three games.

10/18/2005

With a six-yard TD in the fourth quarter of Monday night's victory over the St. Louis Rams, Harrison and Peyton Manning connected for a touchdown for the 86th time in their careers, breaking the all-time NFL mark formerly held by San Francisco's Steve Young and Jerry Rice. Otherwise, the receiver's night was fairly uneventful, as he finished with four catches for 39 yards and the TD.

10/3/2005

Harrison topped the 100-yard mark for the first time this season and 48th time in his career, hauling in nine passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 31-10 victory over the Tennessee Titans. The Colts' receiver now has hooked up with Peyton Manning for 85 career scores, tying Steve Young and Jerry Rice for the all-time NFL record for touchdowns by a quarterback/receiver tandem.

9/23/2005

Resting his sore wrist, Harrison did not work out with the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday, purely as a precautionary measure. The veteran receiver has been receiving treatment on a daily basis, and he is expected to be back in action on Friday. According to head coach Tony Dungy, Harrison will be in the starting lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Cleveland Browns. Officially, he is listed as probable.
