With Carnell Williams and Michael Pittman at less than 100 percent, the Buccaneers dispersed the rushing load in Sunday's meeting with the Washington Redskins, giving Alstott his most extensive work all season. The veteran fullback finished with 21 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.

After missing some time earlier this month with a neck stinger, Alstott has been practicing with the Buccaneers for more than a week and has reported no problems. As a result, the veteran fullback is expected to play in this weekend's exhibition game against the Miami Dolphins, his first preseason action.

Alstott missed a few days after suffering a neck stinger in practice last Wednesday, but he has been working out with the Buccaneers all this week without any problems. However, the team might choose to keep him out of Saturday's exhibition matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars as a precautionary measure.

Alstott will not play in Friday's exhibition matchup with the Tennessee Titans after suffering a neck stinger during the Buccaneers' workouts on Wednesday. The injury is considered minor, and the fullback should be back at practice early next week.
