Marcus Pollard

9/19/2005

Pollard said he could have returned to the Lions' lineup after taking a hard hit from the Bears' Mike Brown late in Sunday's game, but he was held out as a precautionary measure. The tight end has been diagnosed with a mild concussion and is being listed as day-to-day.

Lions quarterback Joey Harrington looked Pollard's way quite often in Sunday's season opener against the Green Bay Packers, and it appears the tight end will be a good fit in the team's West Coast offense. He hauled in five passes for 58 yards and a touchdown in his first game since inking a three-year, $6 million contract with Detroit in the offseason.
