Law was released by the New York Jets Wednesday. The former New England Patriots' cornerback is reportedly seeking $10 million guaranteed.

Law practiced for the first time since being signed by the Jets on August 8. He was only thrown to once, and that ball was tipped at the line, so it allowed Law to ease back into live action. The cornerback had been out of action since October 31 of last season with a broken foot.

Law, who was released by the New England Patriots in a salary cap move in February, has agreed to a multiyear contract with the New York Jets. According to his agent, the deal could be worth as much as $28.5 million over the first three years and up to $50 million over seven years. The former Pro Bowl cornerback missed the last nine regular-season games of 2004 and all of the postseason after breaking his foot, but reportedly is back to full strength.

Law visited the Miami Dolphins on Thursday. The former Pro Bowl cornerback, who is still recovering from a broken foot that cost him to miss the last nine regular season games of 2004 and all of the postseason, has been making the rounds since being released by New England in February.
