11/29/2005

Sapp is scheduled to undergo surgery on Wednesday to repair the tear in his right rotator cuff. The Raiders' veteran defensive tackle, who suffered the shoulder injury in a Week 11 victory over the Washington Redskins, was placed on injured reserve and will miss the rest of the 2005 campaign.

Sapp's season came to an end Saturday when the Oakland Raiders placed him on injured reserve. The defensive end had been listed as doubtful during the week with a shoulder injury, and now he is out for the year with a torn rotator cuff. Sapp appeared in 10 games for the Raiders, taking part in 32 tackles and recording one interception.
