Carswell tore his diaphragm, ruptured his spleen, suffered several broken ribs and had internal bleeding in his chest after he was involved in a five-car accident near Denver on Thursday. The Broncos' offensive lineman was still in surgery Thursday afternoon and was listed in critical but stable condition. Obviously, he will be sidelined indefinitely.
