Todd Steussie
8/7/2005
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have re-signed Steussie, roughly seven weeks after releasing him to make salary cap room. In his first year with the Buccaneers in 2004, the 35-year-old veteran lost his starting job at right tackle to Kenyatta Walker.

Steussie has been excused from the Buccaneers' three-day mandatory minicamp that began on Tuesday. The veteran tackle likely will be released in the coming weeks in a move to create more room for Tampa Bay under the salary camp, and the team does not want to risk an injury during camp. Steussie has missed just one game in his 11-year NFL career, but he made just five starts last season for the Bucs after losing his job to Kenyatta Walker.
