Michael Strahan
9/17/2005
Strahan is listed as questionable for Monday night's game against the New Orleans Saints after sitting out practice Saturday with back spasms. He was treated by a chiropractor after experiencing spasms on Friday night and Saturday morning, and was replaced at practice by rookie Justin Tuck.

Strahan still hopes to play in Friday's preseason game against the New York Jets, but the Giants likely will hold him out as a precautionary measure. The defensive end has not worked out with the team since straining rib cartilage early on Tuesday. The injury is considered minor, and Strahan expects to be at full strength by the start of the regular season.

Strahan, who was forced to undergo surgery in November after tearing his right pectoral muscle, has regained full range of motion and is lifting as much weight as he did before the injury. The Giants' veteran defensive lineman is taking part in the team's mini-camp this week and is expected to be ready for the start of the 2005 season.
