Richie Anderson
4/28/2005
With Anderson facing at least five months of rehab following neck surgery, the Dallas Cowboys released the fullback on Thursday. Primarily a third-down back, Anderson had 57 carries for 246 yards and one touchdown and caught 26 passes for 207 yards last season, his second with the Cowboys.

Anderson will be sidelined indefinitely after undergoing neck fusion surgery. The Cowboys' running back, who missed some time late in the 2004 campaign with a pinched nerve in his neck, reportedly faces at least five months of rehabilitation and could be forced to sit out the entire 2005 season.
