Rouen's brief stint with Seattle ended on Monday when the Seahawks released him. The 13-year veteran punter was signed in Week 5 to replace Leo Araguz and punted in 12 regular season games and the entire playoffs for the Seahawks. He averaged 41.6 yards on 62 regular-season kicks and had a 50.2 yard average in Seattle's 21-10 loss to Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl.

Rouen was re-signed by the Seahawks on Tuesday. The 13-year veteran punter signed with Seattle in Week 5 last season to replace Leo Araguz. He punted 61 times over the final 12 regular-season games with an average of 41.6 yards and had 20 punts downed inside opponents' 20-yard line. Rouen also has played with the Denver Broncos, New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Rouen has signed with the Seattle Seahawks, filling the roster spot of the struggling Leo Araguz. The 12-year veteran averaged 42.0 yards on 26 punts in four games with the Seahawks last season, but suffered a hamstring injury and missed the rest of the campaign.
