John Lynch
2/21/2006
Lynch and the Broncos agreed to a contract extension Tuesday that will keep the hard-hitting safety in Denver through the 2008 season. Terms were not disclosed. Lynch made his second straight Pro Bowl and the seventh of his career in 2005, when he had four sacks and 61 tackles as the leader of the Denver secondary.

The league ruled to uphold the $75,000 fine it levied against Lynch for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Colts tight end Dallas Clark in the final game of the 2004 regular season. Lynch had appealed the fine and stated his case on April 13, but the NFL decided that the punishment would stand.
