Chad Brown
5/7/2005
Brown signed a two-year deal worth a reported $4 million with the New England Patriots on Friday. The linebacker, who had spent the last eight seasons with the Seattle Seahawks before being released last month, reportedly declined offers from the Saints and Broncos before signing with New England.

After declining to restructure his contract, Brown has been released by the Seattle Seahawks, a move that has been rumored for weeks. The veteran linebacker, who was scheduled to earn $4.2 million in 2005, has been limited to a total of 29 games over the past three seasons because of injuries. Last year, he finished with 37 tackles, one sack and a forced fumble in seven contests.
