Willie Williams

11/19/2005

The Steelers re-signed Williams on Saturday, just days after waiving the veteran cornerback. The Steelers had waived Williams in order to activate tight end Matt Kranchick for last Sunday night's game against the Browns, but cut Kranchick today.

Williams has been released by the Pittsburgh Steelers. The veteran cornerback began the 2005 campaign in the starting lineup, but eventually lost the top job to Ike Taylor and had been inactive for the team's past several contests. He will be replaced on the roster by tight end Matt Kranchick.
