Keith Traylor

12/7/2005

On Tuesday, Traylor underwent surgery to remove tissue from his ailing right knee. The Dolphins' defensive tackle, who has started 11 games this season, but did not play in Sunday's win over the Buffalo Bills, is considered week-to-week at this point. The team hopes to have him back before the end of the campaign.

After being released by the New England Patriots earlier this month, Traylor has signed with the Miami Dolphins, agreeing to a two-year contract. The veteran defensive tackle appeared in all 16 regular-season games with the Pats in 2004, including 10 starts. He finished the campaign with 28 tackles.

The New England Patriots released Traylor on Wednesday. The veteran defensive lineman started 10 games for the Patriots during his only season with New England, after spending three years with the Chicago Bears.
