William Bergolla

The Reds optioned Bergolla to Triple-A Louisville.

With Luis Lopez sidelined indefinitely with a strained hamstring, the Cincinnati Reds have recalled Bergolla from Triple-A Louisville to fill the open spot on the roster. The infielder made his major league debut with the Reds earlier this season, going 5-for-35 with an RBI and nine strikeouts in 15 games.

Bergolla made his major league debut in Monday night's game against the San Diego Padres, serving as a pinch-runner late in the contest. The infielder was recalled from Triple-A Louisville by the Cincinnati Reds earlier in the day, filling the roster spot of injured outfielder Wily Mo Pena.

Bergolla will serve as a backup middle infielder, so his fantasy value will be extremely limited. He was batting .298 through 29 games with the minor league club this season.
