Ryan Garko


Garko was called up from Triple-A Buffalo by the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday after Casey Blake was placed on the 15-day DL.


Garko was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday when the Indians activated left fielder Jason Michaels from the 15-day disabled list. Garko was 1-for-2 with two RBIs in two games for Cleveland.


The Cleveland Indians recalled Garko, a top hitting prospect at Triple-A Buffalo, on Friday. The righthanded hitter posted hitting percentages of .303/.384/.498 with 19 homers and 77 RBI in 127 games for Buffalo.
