Brian N. Anderson

Anderson did not play on Sunday against the Chicago Cubs after being ejected on Saturday for his role in a fight between the Cubs and Chicago White Sox. "I really can't explain my actions. I was getting caught up trying to stick up for my teammate," Anderson said

After a two-week stint with the White Sox in August, Anderson returned to Chicago Tuesday following his callup from Triple-A Charlotte. The promising outfield prospect was 5-for-24 (.208) with a double and two homers during his stay with the Sox. At Triple-A Charlotte, Anderson posted hitting percentages of .295/.360/.469 in 118 games, with 24 doubles, 16 home runs and 57 RBI.

The Chicago White Sox on Monday activated starting left fielder Scott Podsednik from the disabled list and returned Anderson to Triple-A Charlotte. The top-flight outfield prospect was 5-for-24 (.208) in seven games with the Sox, though he had a double and a pair of home runs.

After going just 2-for-13 over his first four career games, Brian Anderson busted out against the Mariners Friday night, hitting two home runs off 19-year-old phenom Felix Hernandez. Not only were the home runs the first career longballs of Anderson's career, but they were the first career homers given up by Hernandez.

The Chicago White Sox placed starting left fielder Scott Podsednik on the 15-day disabled list with a leg injury and recalled Anderson, one of the organization's best prospects. The 15th overall pick in the 2003 draft, the 23-year-old outfielder reaches Chicago in a little more than two years.
