The Detroit Tigers took the lead for good on Thursday night when Granderson delivered a three-run, inside-the-park home run in the fourth inning of the Tigers' 8-6 victory over the Angels. The Tigers' outfielder hit a ball to the wall in center field, prompting the Angels' Chone Figgins to leap for it. When the ball rolled back toward the infield, Granderson turned on the jets and scored behind the two lead runners.

The 24-year-old Granderson impressed in his six-game stay, going 7-for-22 (.318) with two triples, two homers and four RBI.
