After giving up seven runs on eight hits in his last 1.1 innings of work, Bentz has been optioned back to Triple-A Albuquerque by the Florida Marlins. The lefthander, who will be replaced in the bullpen by Randy Messenger, made just four relief appearances in his short stint with the Marlins, posting a gaudy 31.50 ERA.

Shuffling their bullpen, the Florida Marlins have recalled Bentz from Triple-A Albuquerque, replacing the struggling Nate Bump, who was optioned to the minor league club on Tuesday. In 11 relief appearances with Albuquerque this season, Bentz posted a 0.82 ERA, struck out 11 and walked four in 11 innings of work.
