The Marlins recalled Bump from Triple-A Albuquerque over the weekend. He will take the roster spot vacated by Josh Beckett, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list because of blisters on his throwing hand.

The Florida Marlins have optioned Bump to Triple-A Albuquerque, opening a spot on the roster for Chad Bentz, who was recalled from the minor league club on Tuesday. In 21 relief appearances with the Marlins this season, Bump is 0-3 with a 3.51 ERA.
