With an open roster spot after optioning righthander Ezequiel Astacio to Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday, the Houston Astros have recalled Gallo from the minor league club. The lefthander, who will pitch in relief with the Astros, was 4-2 with a 3.64 ERA in 37 appearances with Round Rock this season.
