Matt Miller

7/16/2005

The Indians placed Miller on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with tightness in his right forearm. Miller left the game against the White Sox on Friday with the injury after throwing just five pitches. The reliever has been a key member of Cleveland's bullpen this season, going 1-0 with a 1.82 ERA in 23 appearances. To take his roster spot, the club has recalled Kazuhito Tadano from Triple-A Buffalo.

The Cleveland Indians sent Miller down to Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday. The 33-year-old righthander appeared in four games, throwing 3.1 scoreless innings for Cleveland in 2005.

Despite Miller's success, the move was necessitated by C.C. Sabathia's return from the disabled list.
