After being placed on waivers by the Colorado Rockies, pitcher Aquilino Lopez was claimed by the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday, just four days after the Phils faced the righthander. In 14 games for Triple-A Colorado Springs, Lopez was 2-0 with a 2.75 ERA.

The Rockies purchased the contract of Lopez from Triple-A Colorado Springs, where he compiled a 2.75 ERA in 14 relief appearances. He struck out 25 while walking only four in 19.1 innings, and held opposing hitters to a .194 average.
