The St. Louis Cardinals recalled Luna from Triple-A Memphis Saturday. The utility infielder posted hitting percentages of .229/.296/.343 in 210 at-bats for Memphis. He got the call when the Cardinals designated Roger Cedeno for assignment. During a nearly month-long stay with the Cards in April, Luna was 3-for-11 (.273) with two doubles and two runs scored.

Luna, who has accumulated just 11 at-bats for St. Louis in April, was optioned to Triple-A Memphis Thursday to make room for an extra hurler in the Cardinals' bullpen. The Cards have recalled righthander Kevin Jarvis from Memphis.

Luna was 3-for-11 with two doubles in just five appearances for St. Louis.
