Lew Ford

Ford, who is on the DL with a right oblique strain, has been sent to Triple-A Rochester for an injury rehab assignment.

Ford was placed on the 15-day disabled list after straining a muscle in his right side swinging at a pitch.

Ford and Minnesota's other DH options will be squeezed for at-bats this week, as the Twins will play interleague series in Arizona and Los Angeles this week. Ford has been very productive of late, hitting safely in 13 of his last 16 games while batting .344 with seven doubles and 14 runs scored.
