The Colorado Rockies transferred Neal from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list on Saturday. The pitcher has been sidelined since mid-June with inflammation in his right elbow.

6/17/2005

The Rockies have placed pitcher Blaine Neal on the 15-day disabled list on Friday due to inflammation in his right elbow. In 11 games this season, Neal acquired a record of 1-2 with a 6.14 ERA. Infielder Tim Olson was recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs to take Neal's place on the roster.

5/11/2005

The Colorado Rockies have claimed Neal off waivers from the Boston Red Sox. The righthander, who was designated for assignment over the weekend, is 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA in eight relief appearances this season.

Neal has pitched in 102 games in his major league career, posting a 4-2 record and 4.94 ERA. He is not worth a spot on your fantasy roster.
